“The Mandate of Stone Jones — Never Give Up”
Never Give Up is a compelling story about the life of author Nathaniel “Stone” Jones, whose secular journey through life began in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as the sixth oldest of 14 children in the Jones family. He was driven early in life to succeed, and he was the first in the family to graduate from college where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Cheyney University in Pennsylvania. He later was hired as a production chemist at Eastman Kodak Chemicals in Rochester, New York.
In 1973, Stone traveled to Oslo, Norway when his older brother Hank invited him for a vacation to celebrate his graduation from college. The four-week trip proved to be life-changing for him, and he moved to Oslo in 1975. For 11 years, he traveled extensively throughout Europe, Great Britain, and the U.S.A. making many new friends and experiencing great adventures and opportunities.
However, he experienced two major setbacks between 1980 and 1983 that resulted in him returning to Philadelphia in 1986. The first setback resulted from a frightening spiritual encounter he had in Oslo that adversely affected his marriage and turned his life upside down. Then a botched malpractice treatment by a dermatologist in London, to whom he was referred, ruined his health and appearance. And that ended any hope he had of becoming a successful fashion designer, his first love, and entrepreneur in Europe.
In 1990, Stone moved from Philadelphia to Colorado Springs, Colorado, and that’s where he began his spiritual journey through life. He was convinced there had to be a connection between his tenacity to succeed in life and the countless obstacles that were placed in his path to derail his goals. It was during that search for a deeper understanding of life that he overcame all odds by placing his trust in God. Once he allowed Him to become the driving force in his life, everything else started falling in place.
That led to him coining the phrase “Spiritual Chess” and putting into writing what he had learned about the spirit world. Thoroughly examining the subjects of spiritual warfare, Bible prophecy, and dispensationalism led him to acknowledge that the greatest event in the history of mankind, the “Rapture of the Church,” is about to take place shortly. That will immediately be followed by the most devastating period in our history, the “Great Tribulation”. And that is the culmination of what the author wants to share with you.
