“Spiritual Chess: Bible Prophecy | Spiritual Warfare | Dispensationalism.”
The foundation of the concept of “Spiritual Chess” focuses mainly on four components: that is Spiritual Warfare, Bible Prophecy, Dispensationalism, and the “Rapture of the Church,” which will be discussed in Book Two.
Spiritual warfare describes the trials and tribulations we experience in life in the spiritual realm, compared to those in the physical or secular realm, as represented by the board game called chess.
Bible prophecy is a divine revelation or message inspired by God. Prophets have delivered messages from God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. Consequently, no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but by holy men of God, 2 Peters 1: 20-21.
Dispensationalism is the method of interpreting history according to how God divides his work and purposes towards mankind. There are seven major dispensation periods all total. The sixth dispensation is the “Grace or Church Age,” and it’s the one we now live in.
According to Bible prophecy, God’s purpose for mankind is to prepare His future saints, those who have accepted the Lord as their savior, to reside in His presence in heaven, New Jerusalem, forevermore. When the Lord returns to Earth during His “second coming,” they will be transformed to make that trip during the “Rapture of the Church” at the end of the Grace Age. Many are called but few are chosen to become saints because it’s not an easy task to overcome the wiles of the devil.
In the spirit world, the major players are the Trinity: The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit, and their faithful angels on one side. While Lucifer or Satan and his fallen angels or demons are on the other side. And then, there is mankind caught in between.
